The Hotel & Lodging Association is proud to support hotel employees and students pursuing a career in hospitality. Scholarships are awarded annually to assist with the cost of tuition, student fees, and books. 

The HLAKC Educational Foundation selects scholarship award recipients based on a combination of academic performance, hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement, and personal attributes.

Eligibility

• Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a U.S. two-year or four-year college or university for the upcoming semester.
• Students must maintain an minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
• Applications must submit the following items to HLAKC no later than May 31 to be considered for a scholarship:
  • Completed Application Form
  • Resume
  • Transcript

Fund Distribution
Scholarship payments will be made directly to the college/university in two installments. Half of the amount is paid for the fall semester. The remaining half is paid for the spring semester once the student has submitted a copy of their transcript reflecting a 2.5 GPA and proof of enrollment for the upcoming semester. Please note it is the responsibility of the student to request the transcript and send to HLAKC.
