The Hotel & Lodging Association is proud to support hotel employees and students pursuing a career in hospitality. Scholarships are awarded annually to assist with the cost of tuition, student fees, and books.
The HLAKC Educational Foundation selects scholarship award recipients based on a combination of academic performance, hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement, and personal attributes.
Students must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) in an undergraduate program at a U.S. two-year or four-year college or university for the upcoming semester.
Students must maintain an minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
Applications must submit the following items to HLAKC no later than April 15 to be considered for a scholarship:

Fund Distribution Scholarship payments will be made directly to the college/university in two installments. Half of the amount is paid for the fall semester. The remaining half is paid for the spring semester once the student has submitted a copy of their transcript reflecting a 2.5 GPA and proof of enrollment for the upcoming semester. Please note it is the responsibility of the student to request the transcript and send to HLAKC.
