Hotelier of the Year: The Hotelier of the Year award recognizes a hotelier who is, or has served on the Hotel & Lodging Association's board of directors and is a current member of HLAKC. This person should demonstrate strong leadership, high standards of excellence, and should be someone that is making significant contributions to the hotel industry through their work.
Allied Member of the Year: The Allied Member of the Year award recognizes a supplier who is, or has served on the Hotel & Lodging Association's board of directors and is a current member of HLAKC. This award recognizes an active Allied Member who provides the highest level of service and superior products to effectively support their hotel customers. This member inspires others, creates new initiatives, or acts as a catalyst for positive results.
Hospitality Leadership Award: The Hospitality Leadership award is presented to a distinguished member of the Greater Kansas City Area who's efforts have helped to uplift the hotel industry, as well as shape and promote our region as an attractive destination for visitors.
Leadership in Action Award: T his award recognizes a frontline employee who, regardless of their official title, demonstrates leadership qualities, guides their peers through challenges, and inspires excellence in the workplace.
Behind-the-Scenes Hero Award: This award recognizes an hourly or mid-level management employee who may not always be in the limelight, but whose contributions are vital to the smooth operation and success of the hotel.
Outstanding Dedication Award: This award recognizes an hourly or mid-level management employee with long-term service who embodies the hotels values, culture, and brand, and has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication over the years.
Hospitality Heart Award: This award recognizes a hotel employee who embodies the sprit of generosity and compassion that defines the hotel industry by demonstrating exceptional dedication to community service. It celebrates an individual who goes above and beyond their professional responsibilities to make a meaningful impact in their community through volunteering or supporting local causes.
